So yesterday evening I checked my strain and noticed I was at Stage 5 for Deathgrip. Today in the morning when I checked it was simply gone. No messages, nothing. Just gone.

Healer also says nothing and it seems that I can get a new strain from the VIP.

The only thing I can think off which could have "erased" the strain was the [item=Dr. Lockhearts Amoricide] I took for the achievement. Just looked at SubetaLodge and it actually has the note that a user will get infected with a temporary strain but I didn't even had that. I still had the stage 5 Deathgrip after using it.

So just a bug or an unlucky situation?

If it's the latter I wouldn't have used it if I would have known it would cancel my current strain. So if it really cancels the strain, it would maybe be an idea to update the item description. It's sadly written generic enough so that I couldn't associate love-sickness with the zombie strains.

Also sorry if this is the wrong place to post my issue.

Using the Lockheart items for the achievements during Survival will remove your strain. Sometimes Amber remembers to disable them during the event and sometimes she forgets. I’m sorry :(

Ah damn. So I really was unlucky and my own achievement greed cancelled my strain. Today is truly not my day. :') But thank you for giving me confirmation about this. Luckily there are many helpfulhungry zombies out there who like fresh fish.

Shoot, they need a warning about this. I used the amoricide and it undid my 2009 strain, now I have to pay the sP for it again. They need a setting to let you know about this before you make the mistake. I assumed you had to do it around Survival to get the achievement too, so I had been waiting until Survival to risk the sP, but I'm always mid-zombie strain during the time. Welp
