Skin not progressing

I bought the Blood Rush skin yesterday morning and it has not progressed at all.
Have you gotten the notice saying you've been matched with a specialist? If you don't go on the forums and ask for bites, it can take up to two days for an infection to start.
If you go post on the biting thread in the survival forums, then we can get it started for you!
Same here, I wanted to participate in the VIP and it tells me I've got some time to wait after four days. Nothing happend since then.
Have you tried the above suggested by Archer? You can get infected faster by being bitten, just tell users on the survival forum what strain you paid for.
If you want some help, you can come over to this thread and we can try to get you started on those infections faster. There are more in depth instructions there, as well as a list of all the different groups you can ping for bites. :)
Legalcat, for blood rush bites you would put this in your post, and people with that strain would come to bite you.

On the complete opposite end on the spectrum, I've tried curing myself because I accidentally infected myself with the same strain twice in a row and it says "oh no, you don't have that much sp!" even though I have 8 mill on hand

I've just applied for a random strain. Anyway, it's working now, it just took some time it seems.

Yeah after you select a strain even without being bitten the infection will still progress but it can take a fairly long time. If you get users to bite you the strain will progress faster, extremely so where it can take only a few minutes with enough people biting you. If you select a random strain you can ask people to bite you with a specific infection to get that one without having to pay a ton for it.
Same here. I got infected yesterday with Bubble Jelly and my infection is just not showing up at all. And when i go to the vip it says infected.

Right, but after you pay the sP if you don't get bites on the forums then it can take days before the virus kicks in. You need to be bitten in order to get it progressing reasonably fast
