So... let's just rip the bandaid off right from the start!

I am here... as part of my healing process. :D

For the past 4 years or so I lived as far away from all family and friends as I possibly could. I maintained zero social life, abandoned most of my hobbies, and only went out to go to work or the gym. I recently moved back near my hometown and started therapy. During my efforts to become more social it became apparent meeting people in real life was just too much for me right now. I need to practice just chatting with people without the pressure of having to see them... I remember chatting a lot on websites like Neopets and Gaia many years ago so I thought I'd try them again, but they're not really the same and the nostalgia just isn't hitting. After some searching I found Subeta and decided I'd see how it goes.

As for what I'm all about... well I'm still figuring that out again. I haven't shown much interest in my interests lately... I do really like music, it's almost always playing. I used to be really into art, especially drawing. Trying to pick up that hobby again, but baby steps. I also watch a lot of anime, especially isekai lately.

I'm a pretty task-oritented person, and so far I find a lot of the things to do around here pretty satisfying. Quests are fun and I can't wait to get started on collections.

The pets look super cute, I dunno how I'll pick which ones to get. Still figuring out what all I can do with them. I like the look of the avatars, but it looks like it will take some time to save up for anything really nice for it.

Hi Honey!! Welcome :) I love Subeta because there's just not a single person on here (at least I feel like) that would see me interacting/online and be mad I hadn't replied to them. There's really no pressure. I feel like everyone here is super chill and just happy to chat when you're able and have the energy.

I saw you mentioned Gaia, I used to love that website so much when I was a kid - I thought being able to put on a cow costume and just chat with strangers was peak cool.

As far as saving up for HA stuff, I do feel like the money comes super fast here through questing. I also like stocking my own shop with items from the vending machines - it's a really nice flow of passive income. I'm also task oriented so I really love going to the achievement section under personal and seeing what I can cross off - it's so fun.

I've noticed that as well. Although it seems like the money comes in fast... and leaves really fast as well. I keep buying cute things on impulse. :P

Hello and congratulations on your healing journey! It's incredible to find a place you feel safe and can enjoy yourself. I think of Subeta as one of my "Hobbit Happiness" activities - something I do that has no purpose other than being a simple joy.

When it comes to playing with the HAs, you can have fun making designs even if you don't own the items! In the wardrobe under "Visibility" select "All Items" instead of "Owned Items". You can make HAs with any item that exists, save these outfits in your wardrobe, and even share them on the forums. You cannot use them as your actual human avatar on the site though. There is a forum (Human Avatars) just for HAs and you can join in on making and sharing outfits for fun, as a part of contests, or even by starting your own board with fun challenges for others to also participate in!

There is also a board for pets and this may be a fun place to explore to gain ideas about what you'd like to do with your own pets. The pets are probably my favorite part of the site and working on giving them the right story, treasure chest, profile, and art is what I focus most of my energy on. This may be a fun way for you to incorporate your joy for creating art into the site.

There are lots of fun things to explore here, and over time you'll definitely find your preferences for how you spend your time.

Hello and welcome! Subeta is pretty chill. There's plenty of things to do daily (games, quest, battle quests, collecting pets income from jobs, collections, reading books, feeding pets etc). I find Subeta to be a pretty chill place and majority of us are pretty laid back. There's no pressure here to be social. Sometimes I'm pretty social and other times, I'm not. If you need a friend, or if you need someone that listens, I'm always here!

You're very welcome! A quick tip for quests - always do Shinwa's first! She sends you to do 5 quests, each one from one of the other "quest givers" (ex: Wizard) and if you've already done all of their quests for the day you wont be able to complete hers. Sometimes she gives items that are valuable for selling or if you end up doing the battle arena activities on the site.

Quests are the best way IMO to make consistent SP. You'll get items as well as points (currency). After I finish quests I go to my inventory and move around any items I got that I want to keep (for a pet treasure chest or add to my wardrobe) then I use the "quick stock" feature in my shop to add everything else to the inventory there. The autopricer is a huge help, but is a perk of having a gold account I believe. You can get a gold account through the cash shop, through the subscription options, or by buying a medal from someone. Keep an eye out for Morty Cards - these are sometimes given as quest prizes. When you activate them, they give you a bonus of 5CSC (cash shop credits) on the next 5 quests! Right now you will also get New Years Tokens, which are a currency specific to the New Years Shop! You can add these to your "bank account" by going to the bank, scrolling down to where you see the New Years Tokens, and selecting to turn them in. They can also just be sold, but if there are things from the New Years Shop you're interested in I'd make sure to add them to your currencies. Quentin is probably the one who you may lose a bit of SP on, but he gives out mage amulets which are worth a lot when sold (or are stat boosters for battle activities) so it's worth the risk.

Welcome to Subeta ! I think using the forums can be a great step in getting used to talking to people. Face to Face interaction can be hard. I also watch a lot of anime. Currently My favorites are on the cute side of things. Currently The Ancient Magus' Bride and the Apothecary Diaries. Both are super cute and entertaining.
