i suppose "masculine" is subjective, but i was wondering if anyone has recommendations for clothing CWs that are on the more masculine side, or generally more "plain"/less flashy? i'm trying to buy a few CWs from the pawn shop, and i'd like some more items that lend themselves more to simple or masculine avatars, especially punk-y stuff. i know it's sort of vague; here's a few items that're more in line with what i'm looking for:

i've definitely done my own searching, but there's a ton of CW to look through, so i figured i'd see what items other people have found! no need for the items to be in the CW pawn shop, though, i'd love to see any recommendations :)

Hello, As someone who tends to create a lot of masculine HAs this is hard to say, since CW Shops that exclusively sell things in this style are quite rare and a lot of such CWs can be unavailable for sale. Personally that'd be complicated for me to list specific items as it depends on taste but here's a link to my saved HAs, maybe they could inspire you? It's kind of messy though, I'm experimenting stuff.

thanks for tagging the group mort!! i think does a lot of great CWs that lean more towards the masc spectrum! like you said (or rather, what i think you meant), masculine is definitely subjective, and like mort said, i do think masc-leaning things are less common on subeta, but especially the bottoms em puts out are some of my go-tos for a lot of my outfits to help give a less curvy appearance!

yes, i meant subjective! brain lapse on my part lol. thank you and and for the ideas, i’ll definitely check them out! i think looking at saved HAs will help since it’s easier to see at a glance what the items look like. it’s definitely cool that a lot of items (mostly CWs, but other ones too) have icons that don’t necessarily show the actual item, but it does make it hard to tell what they are without mousing over them all

Ready to help! Hopefully. laugh As a player it's very frustrating for me to find masculine wearables (both non-CW and CW) because I'm extremly picky with what looks masculine for me. And while the OCAE (original character alter-ego) Human Avatar I use is in a fantasy setting and the wearables which are avail here, doesn't fit the style 100%. So that's why I gave him mostly pants instead of a long black skirt (the only long black skirts which are avail here in CW and non-CW doesn't have the correct style).

Never mind. To make it short, here are all clothes-related CW I have and which are for me masculine.

Only the cuffs and collar are more in the style which your are looking for. But I wanted to share all my fantasy-related CW I own and use for my HA. (Didn't worked out an outfit with everything, but mostly with the CW I own) ^-^ Layering is my secret to figure out a style I can life with. laugh

I don't mind the ping! it's a discussion I care about too, as I pretty much only do masc HAs, most of my own releases lean towards that as well. I will add to the list of people who have been mentioned that do masc-leaning items! I could name the consistent masc CW artists on one hand, probably lol. T_T
Here's my owned WL as another point of reference. There's some rainbows/glitter/unicorns in the mix, but I prefer a lot of neutrals/black/monochrome looks overall.
Most of the best pieces around the site were released as limited slot CWs - and some of the artists that made them have since moved on... is one of the better ones (and he's here in the flesh) - so everyone act normal and don't insinuate any fan-boy behavior on my behalf.. 😆

thanks everyone! i really appreciate the recommendations, and i definitely enjoyed looking through saved HAs, not just as a good visual guide but also because i love to see what people make. i think now it might be more of a matter of not spending a bunch of money on CSC. :P i grabbed a few things from the pawn shop, though, so i think i have a decent start to my collection. i had seen the sk8ter tees before but hadn't looked at all the variants until now, i saw and was pleased to see it was also in the pawn shop, so now i have to find more rat items to go with it

(and i joined the masc ping group, i was pleasantly surprised to see it! i'm on and off active on the forums so i'm still unfamiliar with what all is out there)
