I'm afraid I don't understand the question. Are you asking how many likes we can give to other posts? Or how many likes our posts can receive? Because I've never heard of a cap for either.

Also how do you know you're hitting a cap? What happens, exactly?

I know there's a cap on avatar likes (I wanna say it's 30?) but I've not heard of one for post likes. That being said, the post likes do tend to be a little buggy and not always "stick" after you like a post. It's significantly harder to get them to stick at all on mobile if you're trying to like posts from there too

Thank you for explaining! TIL, guess I haven't been active enough on the forums to even know caps were a thing. XD I did know that likes were buggy on mobile, though (have experienced it myself).

I think the cap may be 25 per day. It's been such a long time, hard to fully remember. LOL!

There is a glitch in the Avatar Likes - I don't know if its the same with post likes. But the heart that turns pink when you like an avatar turns back to gray when you reload a post (or open it later). The like still exists and hitting like again doesn't add to likes, though it may add to your daily limit.

I know with the post likes if you hit it a second time it removes your like, because I've done that when the site was lagging.

On Avatar likes you actually get an error message when you try to like beyond your limit and it doesn't sound like you've experienced that with the post limit? I'm thinking its glitching in some way. It may be time for a bug report, or a ticket to directly ask staff what's happening.
