why do some people have stars under their username on the forums?

to be more specific, i think the first star is for 500 posts, and every subsequent star is for 750 after that. but i could be misremembering that, or maybe it used to work that way and doesn't anymore...

I thought they changed it from a new star at X number of posts awhile back to just a flat number for each star. I just can't remember what the flat number is for sure (but I think, based on memory + how many stars I've seen people with vs. their post counts, that it's every 750)
