Haha sorry if this is a dumb question! I’ve been playing for years and always used to surf through pages of adoptable pets. The last couple times I’ve come back from hiatus it’s been completely empty.. is it just because less people play now?

While there’s def fewer folks around now, I think the main reason is the newer (since mid 2020) naming system. Pet names for pets made after mid 2020 are no longer unique and pets can have their names changed for free once a month, so folks can grab whatever pet and name it something they would like more instead.

Oh awesome, that’s good to know! I have pets from 2009 but I don’t love their names anymore lol. So nice that we can just change them now.

Also a few years ago, they cleared the Adoption Center completely, "freeing" (deleting 😅) all the pets that had built up in there. Then a while later they changed the name system like Tribe said, so the AC doesn't get full anymore.
