Do I have to change my password today if I'm not joining up to kumos project now?

Based on what I read in the news post, I interpreted it to mean that you do NOT need to change your password until and unless you want to take a look at the beta site (Kumos). Eventually, at some point in the future there may need to be a change, but its not right now.

That said, I very strongly recommend that you confirm that you still have access to the email you signed up with. If you don't, change the email in your preferences. If there should ever be a catastrophic failure on Subeta, Kumos would likely be the backup system and you might need a password reset.

For a more definitive answer submit a ticket. This only my interpretation and I could be wrong. I haven't changed mine at this point because I heard of people running into problems and issues when they've tried. I plan on waiting a few weeks, maybe months, before messing with my password.

i actually re read the news article about 5 times to see if I could understand it better, then i just changed password. It seems it worked ok

So stressful changing passwords.
