I didn't see one for this year, and as its already almost November, I thought I'd throw one up here.

Luminaire is Subeta's version of a winter holiday. It leans heavily into Christmas/gift giving ideas.

My personal suggestions are:

• Holiday Barbie style dresses -- even broken into top/bottoms that can be swapped
• More Victorian era caroling outfits / accessories
• Winter holiday food from different cultures
• Tacky or classy Ornament earrings
• Puffy jackets / accessories for cold weather
• A wearable of a cat/dog tail sticking out of a slightly opened present

I'd absolutely love to see more wearable snowman dolls plz... ;;

-Snowman dressed as Santa, Dungard, Tree, maybe one in a floppy sunhat and sunglasses as a little joke?

Huskies and Saint Bernards more wears plz

More gift piles, strewn wrapping paper and empty boxes foreground items.

This is a bit European-biased, but more mince pie items. Do we have any Christmas pudding items as well? I forgot if we did or not. Basically, food items that involve baking and dried fruit.

I would always welcome more fluff/feather items in different colours other than white.

I can't think of anything else right now.

Sweet, happy, and peaceful things, because the world is just too much right now.

Sparkling snow with warm sunlight, peace doves, snow dusted woodland animals, natural tree decorations like fruit slices and bird seed balls.

And because I love gnomes, a snowy winter version of would be amazing.

Ice cave background. Big, fat falling snowflakes. Exhaled cold breath. Maybe some deer for layering in/on backgrounds. Icicles foregrounds/background/side thingies kind of like the fire ones that came out during fireside a couple years ago. Ice fishing stuff. Coal eyes diagonal bow foregrounds

I'd love more "holding a present" poses. There's but we could have different clothes, different shapes and sizes of gift box, etc.

I know irl isn't subeta but as an example of what I'm talking about, there are, or have been, a lot of events that happen in the month of December.

That in mind, I think it'd be really cool to see items that suggest the different ways the locations in subeta celebrate luminaire.

Like I doubt it snows in the desert. Maybe in Saherimos it's customary to decorate neela saddles and leave offering at the excavation site for both their ancestors and for the bhakoru (that'd be an interesting item sink for December, too. Give offerings, idk... chance of a strong wind leaving behind an item? Could be older melody items or something). Doubtfully snows on Atebus either, maybe they decorate with cave crystals or artificial snow.

How would the pirates celebrate when out at sea for so long? Colorful strands of sea glass? A special brew made with spices they carefully purchased months prior? Do those on the omen islands use special paints on their bodies, and pay homage to the sea for good luck as the fish migrate to their warmer waters?

Just a thought.

Here are some ideas for wearable backgrounds: A quaint Vetan village street covered in snow. A holiday market. A light display or festival of lights. A snow-covered log cabin, kind of like this but less painterly

More foregrounds and/or ground items. I like the idea of like festive wrapping, kind of like the candy wrappers for moro, just scattered around like you just opened gifts in a hurry. Bows/ribbons/tissue paper/wrapping paper/bags etc and some ready to be wrapped maybe. Also, more Holiday handhelds, like being able to have maybe Lumi cards that the HA can hold, presents being held. Lumi onesies! More holiday dog/cats/birds/etc. I would really LOVE the ability to have some of the dog/cat/birb ornaments as wearables now!

, Oh, they have all the Luminaire books etc. for how the different places in Subeta celebrate Lumi, so that would be cool to see stuff based on each land and how they celebrate. I actually ran a HA contest based on those books a few Lumis ago.

I know this is a big ask but: I would love it if there was another tree made available themed after The Rift. I adore the rift ornaments that were released but I don’t think any of the tree options suit them very well.

Doesn't look like there's a Nostalgic pet suggestion thread so I'll plonk this here. I'd like to see one inspired by those plastic suncatcher sets with the paint.

Also, those ornaments (lights? Don't remember.) with the bubbling liquid in them.

might be too much work for it to be this year, but:

- with holiday cookies or presents - with creepy/zombie-style toys for a nightmare before christmas type of thing, or maybe an unliving take on holiday treats - for different regions/biomes of subeta -wearable wassail/an updated wassail item since the art for isn't recent.

i just want the melody regular cosmetic border to be available again, i started playing in january 2022 so i just missed it 😭

I know it's too late but maybe next year? I'd looove more letter ornaments! Different colors and stuff would be cool.

I say more backgrounds, because there are so many that hide your doll, and I would love to have some that didn't,

I don't think I've ever made suggestions for Luminaire or New Year since I've enjoyed what Subeta does each year enough that I haven't had any ideas. Although it is to late for this year I am making this post in hopes that it will be seen and maybe I see something next year.

My first request isn't an item it is for the trees. Could we get a button or some other way to lock ornaments after they have been placed. It would really help if I wasn't accidentally moving the ornaments I had already placed just right.

My second request isn't necessarily specific to Luminaire. With the work to improve Subeta as a site I have been thinking it might be fun to have a year of memories. Perhaps it could be a year long plot or maybe just a new years dream as an excuse to bring back a lot of older exclusive or rare items and exclusive things that are very difficult or impossible to get. My thought was that it might save you from creating as many new items for a year. But then I suppose you would be spending the time saved on writing a plot and possibly revamping more than a few items. For us though and especially people like who have started recently or those who have had to start over because they couldn't access an old account it could be an opportunity to get exclusive time gated content or be introduced to thing around the site forgotten in time. Me personally I'm still REALLY wanting the ice skin.

Perhaps if I think of anything else I'll update this with it but I'll post this for now.

Definitely agree with the people asking for more backgrounds! Would also love to see some more reference outfits or sets! Though I haven't looked very thoroughly for those things at this point.
