a fool i am ! i thought the high scores were singular as there is a cumulative high score section too, but they are in fact cumulative for the week; so the accounts with 50k score were just new users who had played a lot and not in fact cheated for an insane score ahaha

I have the achievement for reaching the end on hard, I think it took a lot of games and I just got lucky. Keep at it!
