Most people go with similar rates. It mostly comes from the cost of submitting and the category type as some categories are cheaper to submit than others. When a CW is priced a bit above typical it's usually never more than 25. So say a CW type typically slots at 500 adding the 25 would make it 525. But some also use this extra cost to pay the artist or they give them a copy of the CW upon approval. But many people only do this to get recolors submitted sooner with those funds more than anything else.
