I'm 25 and I watched that movie for the first time when I was like... 13, I think? It was one of the first times I saw a wlw relationship in a movie - I carried super fond memories of it for years. I just recently rewatched it again a couple of months ago with my girlfriend, and I'm so happy that it held up. It's a goofy, campy movie, but it was so important to me as a young queer person. I think it ties for my favorite wlw movie alongside Imagine Me and You. SO good.

omg I haven't seen that in FOREVER!!! It was such a cute movie...I had NO IDEA what it was going to be....but I love what it was, especially for the time.

It's a fun one! I really like Natasha Lyonne and Clea Duvall. I think it's doing a little too much of the discount John Waters thing (or would it be like...the non-discount John Waters thing int his case?) without fully committing. It will always have a special place in my heart as one of my first "wait, they make movies with gay characters???" movies, even though I was like...19 or 20 when I watched it, hah.
