Hi all! I just realized my BD pet hit T7. Here is her current set:

[Item=Reborn Icewand of Doom] - I assume this stays?

[Item= Phoenix Quill] - I assume this stays?

[Item= Recycle Blaster]

[Item=Blunderbuss]

[Item=Massaquerade]

[Item=Gate Keeper Collar of Slavery] - I assume this stays?

[Item=Steamwork Hunting Gun]

What should I be keeping, and what should I be looking at replacing? I don't really know what scope of budget I should be thinking about.

• Gate Keeper Collar of Slavery is still good if you want to keep that. A slight upgrade would be Hydragellos Possessed Eye. It has more attack icons, a curse, and four mod slots. But since you only need it for one turn, some may consider it not worth the investment.

• I highly recommend the Beanstalk Whip for T7. I just went through the very hard challengers with my T7 pets and it was the weapon I used most often, on almost every opponent. revamped the Reborn Icewand of Doom recently so that it scales for T7 and T8 too, you can keep that one for a while :)

• Having Phoenix Quill is good. Everyone should have that :P A cheap second healer would be UltimaPlus Tag, but ultimately you'll want to get your hands on Reviver of the Lion.

• Recycle Blaster is also good to keep. It'll turn one of your opponent's weapons into junk. One day you may also want to buy a Soma Tablets for dual weapon blasting.

• Item Hunters Bomb is a nice, cheap bomb for T7. It can also activate a long curse, which is handy for adding a small amount of extra damage.

• Lastly, I would try to get your hands on a Shinwas Temple Shard while it's in the Crystal Shop. I know it's a pain to get that many crystals, but it's worth it. STS is an awesome weapon and the cheapest full blocker on the site.

That is really helpful - thank you so much! Is the item hunter bomb better than my lantern?

I'll focus on gettng the shard - thank you for that advice!!

I agree with everything Jess said, except the temple shard. I still think its a bit overrated for its price.

I think you would get more bang for your buck buying a Reviver of the Lion or a Amulet of Drakonis first before STS.

Even being the cheapest full blocker on the site, full blockers have very limited utility overall.

Are you talking about the Iron Fireside Lantern? You can use that one instead if you want :) Their differences are fairly minimal.

That’s fair. I do like full blockers for not dying on the first turn though :P I think most people can get it passively. One can accumulate a lot of junk items to frag via questing, vending, or even battling. It will also be more expensive once it’s out of the Crystal Shop so I’m encouraging people to buy it while it’s still there.

Unless the Beanstalk has a bigger upgrade than I see on Subetalodge, I'd prefer Arrow Harpoon for the second primary weapon for a bit more SP. Can't beat the price of the Beanstalk if you want to go cheap though.

When I was going through the T7 challengers with my pets, Beanstalk Whip, Coda Crystal Axe, and Twisted Rift Blade were the three I used the most. Then Arrow Harpoon and Panzer Hydra Blade to a lesser extent.

I found that 12 out of the 19 opponents I recommend for T7 pets use physical and earth icons (Blerle, Evil Morty, Greasy Joe, Gunter, Kapitan Koyla, Mother of Pearls, Recycle Beast, Sweater Blake, The Beanstalk, The Dark Forest, Three Angry Bears, Uilliff) so I highly recommend the Beanstalk Whip.

I didn't realize that arrow harpoon was not a "Healer" still. I'll need to look at T7 again probably.

I used it to beat all the very hard and some the extremely hard challengers recently with my barely Tier 7. She was/is a glass cannon. At the time she had 1,300 strength, about 300 health and even less in defense and speed. The 100 heal on the harpoon served her better paired with RIoD 95 heal than the higher blocking on Beanstalk. So this maybe a your mileage may vary based on build situation.

Once I got her to 1k+ health and less horrible defense and speed I used RIoD and either Harpoon or Shinwas Quill. Can't say I can recommend the Quil since it's expensive CS but I do love it for almost every tier below Tier 8.
