Sadly you need to use an Elixir to get one. Swampies can also be obtained via the zapper which they were once an exclusive back when we had 2 versions of the pet zapper.

Also, some pets you might adopt with the zapper, or find in other lands of the game, such as blobs, Zentus and Neelas
