Haven't found a thread about this yet, but if I'm wrong I apologise.
On the Adoption Center forums I've noticed a lot of people are interested in adopting pets with certain IDs, especially low IDs. Of course, pets with an older birthday (e.g. pre-2009) will automatically have a lower ID.
Right now the only way to check your pet's ID, as far as I know, is by going to their profile and checking the URL. I think it'd be useful to display the IDs of every pet on the collective "Pets" page so users have an overview of all the pet IDs their pets have. This also makes it easier to list their IDs in a forum thread when you're putting multiple pets up for adoption. No one would have to sift through their pet profiles to find the IDs anymore.
I would love to see this, not only for adoption purposes, but for everyday use.
Like we can use the UserId code, I'd love to be able to use a PetID code - that would remain with the pet irrespective of pet name and ownership. Currently searching subeta for pet names, linking pets (either through the "legacy" name or username/petname link) are all buggy. Putting the unique pet ID number that already exists into actual use for profiles, searching and anything else would be helpful.
