[Deep breath] I really hope this is the right area to post this

Last year in the beginning of the year, my fiance proposed to me in front of Cinderella's Castle at Disney. This was also my very first time ever visiting Disney ;v; We initially considered getting married this year but I have been to three weddings so far and knowing my chaotic brain, I cannot be in a wedding while planning my own wedding at the same time xD So, we're getting married ⭐ next year ⭐ in October. We FINALLY found an affordable venue which is in a refurbished aviation hanger on a farm >v< Though now that we have found the venue, there's the matter of literally everything else (':

and I am ⭐ STRESSED ⭐ I get that I have a year get it all together, but oh my LORT. I'm pretty positive my parents are not in a place where they can financially help us. (They're both teachers, we all know teachers are severely underpaid. (': ) and I'm under the impression that at least his mom has zero interest in helping out at all - she's made snarky comments in the past. so. :🤷:

We aren't doing anything traditionally. I do not want to wear a white dress, so, I'm piecing an outfit together instead and that is coming out to be heccin stressful too. Our theme is steampunk and past me initially thought it would be a little easier to work with. I've put my fiance in charge of finding a photographer and the DJ and he has made zero movement on that part and is under the assumption that the people he may know ( and hasn't spoken to in a million years ) will just willingly make a trip ( they're in FL we're in OH ) and I know that's not how this works lol.

Why is this so hard :')

Congrats on the engagement! When my husband and I got married we went the cheapest route possible. Our city has a rose garden, where you can hold free venues. We were only allowed to have like 15 people there, but we were okay with just inviting CLOSE family. We also didn't do anything traditionally which was so fun!! We did all of our shopping and planning together. The day of we got dressed together and helped each other look our best. I definitely found it easier and more comforting that he wanted to help and do everything together.

To keep things as stress free as possible we just tried to keep everything super cheap. The most expensive thing was the dinner, which we chose a French restaurant I used to work at, so I also got a discount!

Good luck with everything, the year will go by fast!

Thank you (':
I had intended on keeping it small but there are people that really mean a lot to me that I want to be there which has almost hit 100 people TvT' The hardest part I'm having right now is finding a photographer -- I definitely respect the pricing I've seen because they're artists and they deserve every last drop ;u;' We're also leaning towards a foodtruck for food! It'd make for easier clean up c:

Here in Brazil, the wedding ceremony is not so popular among young couples.

My husband and I didn't do the ceremony, we preferred to invest the money in buying a house. We ended up just having a barbecue for family and close friends to enjoy our moment as a couple.

But for those who would like the wedding ceremony, I understand how difficult and frustrating it can be trying to get everything to work out.

I hope your wedding day is perfect and everything goes better than planned.
