I'm cleaning my vault right now, and by "right now" i mean i threw everything in my inventory and instantly decided to procrastinate. And i noticed that overtime i use the vault less and less, initially it was a place for items that i didn't know the purpose of, like mysterious artifacts and map pieces and weapons that i didn't know how to use and maybe could prove useful later.

But after i learned the basics of thingsTM and how they work, my Vault now (and by "now" i mean after i organize the 2k items that dumb past me kept there for some god damn reason) is a place for just a few items that i'm collecting for later use like Loyalty Boxes and possible pet treasure items. Everything else i either use (put in the collection, read, put in wardrobe, etc.) or sell.

That made me curious about how other players use their Vault. Does your Vault have a purpose? Is it full or completely empty? Will you ever use that item that you put there in 2005 thinking it'll be useful later? Is that hamburger even safe to eat right now? Will that forgotten minion ever forgive you?

I mainly use mine to store items I'm not ready to use yet, e.g. foods for my gourmand if he's full, potions I get ahold of and might need in the future, stat boosters so I can use them all at once for Maximum Dopamine, etc. All my shop/gallery spaces are spoken for, so anything I want to hold onto just in case basically goes in the vault.

This thread made me realize I have a category in there for items for wardrobe achievements even though I also have a drawer in my wardrobe for achievement items lol

Honestly? Saving custom or rare items, foods, potions, etc. At least the item vault I use for that. My currency vault sees far more use than the other.

Mostly junk I've no idea why I'm saving. I barely know what I have in there anymore.

Its stuffed full of stuff! I use it to save

1. items for Recycle beast
2. items I'll use in quests
3. stuff I'll eventually get around to fragging
4. luminaire and birthday gifts
5. baking pantry and other ingredient items (genetech, scrolls, alchemy)
6. event items while the event is happening, to make sure I've gotten everything I want. Toward the end of the event I'll look to distributing to friends who missed items and/or to trade for stuff I missed. Once the event is over, will sort into appropriate uses/sell/etc.
7. Items I'll be using shortly, but don't have space for (TC items if I've run out of TC spots, foods for my gourmand if I collect more than 10, and so on).
8. Stuff I can't decide on - I have a couple of collection bags that I keep going back and forth on what I'm going to pick - an old hairstyle magazine that I can't decide if I want to try for a wig or read to my reader pet, and that sort of stuff).
9. Inventory sorting - when my inventory gets full, just toss everything into the vault, then, when I have time (or the inclination) go through the recent stuff and sort it into my galleries/shops/use it.

I'm an unrepentant hoarder. I like stuff, I keep stuff, I hoard stuff because one day it will have use (even if only to frag so I have enough crystals onhand for the next restock of the universal remote).

Sixty-four pages of stuff. Some for fragging, some for recycle beast, but mostly just stuff because I am a hoarder.

I often put everything I get into the vault and wait until there is a massive amount of stuff in there. Then have some intensive days selling everything from my shop to feel the pleasure of watching the shop till increase so quickly. I once spent over a year hoarding stuff, it took me quite a few days to sell it all.

I usually tend to store items in there for my pets that I can't use at that very moment. Like I store food for Spike that he still needs to eat, but is too full and I don't want to accidentally frag. I also store Frankenpie slices and map pieces, so I can eventually put them together for an achievement :)

I play Subeta to satisfy the "must collect every item" itch in the back of my head, so I use the vault to...get one of each item. Is there possibly a better way of doing this? Probably. Does it satisfy the hamster? Yes.

I just got my vault down to one page of minions and future TC items. I used to just toss anything I wasn’t sure I wanted in there but now if it doesn’t fit into a collection and it sells for less than 10k I frag it.

everything lol potions usually or event or holiday items just things i dont plan to use anytime soon or dont know what to do with it's not that bad tho, most of the items of stacked

I have a bad habit of keeping everything on Neopets, and I kind of treat my vault the same way on Subeta. Kinda means I can't find anything though, so it's really just a black hole.

Everything goes in the vault. I don't bother to sell much because without autopricer it takes forever. I have it sorted into categories. Keeper is stuff with a special use or stuff I don't want to get rid of, stat potions, amulets, loyalty boxes, map pieces and more. Spell is for my spell ingredient hoard I'm only using spell items on the recycle beast, or on actually making spells. I have over 1000 snow fairies which I'm never, ever fragging or "abandoning" them no matter how many achievements they create, I've had these saved up to use on the recycle beast and I'm well aware that's probably not going to happen. I liked collecting snow fairies from user shops since, unlike neopets, there are pretty much no 1sp items on here you can hoard, snow fairies were the only one of its kind. (The site is honestly obsessed with making item sinks, just let items be valueless for goodness sake). I've got some items from baked goods I'm going to frag as well

I throw everything in there when I'm in a hurry to empty my inventory to find something else. I also put stuff in there when I can't remember why I bought it.

It's a giant item hoard. Not even sorted- just six pages of STUFF. Whether it's something i'm hoarding cause it's a holiday/even item i plan to sell eventually, or something i'm hoarding to use eventually, or just something i'm hoarding cause i don't reallyyyy wanna sell it but i have no other use for it... it all goes into the vault.

I'm currently farming Battle Opponents for amulets and tomes so get a lot of random items which I'm hoping the Recycle Beast will eventually ask for. I've also got a collection of books to read to my battle pet for Alchemy Points (he gets a lot of intelligence points from Tomes but one in 16 intelligence points has to be from a book for an AP). I've also got categories for currencies like CSC Gift Cards and Lounge and Steamworks trinkets plus categories for various other bits and pieces I haven't decided what to do with yet.

Even though I'm new I usually use vaults for just storing random stuff idk what to do with lol

Food I'm going to feed my pet when he isn't full, stuff I like, but doesn't work in a pet treasure (got gallery now), and items I'm putting in a pet treasure, but I gotta get more space.
