Can anyone tell me why they are going for so much? I've been off a while for various reasons and when I was checking my shop history I noticed how expensive Waffles are but I can't figure out why. They haven't been retired and as far as I'm aware they aren't used for anything other than feeding your pet. Usually the items that we buy for the Recycle Beast don't go over a certain amount because you could just get the points with sP at that point so I don't think that is the reason either.

its a mystery. I can think of several reasons off the top of my head, and there are probably many more.

1. It could coincidence - Several questers suddenly ask for a bunch and they get bought out of user shops at a slightly faster rate than they are stocked in the main shop.

2. Maybe there was a theme party (waffles & fried chicken) and people bought them up as part of the fun.

3. Perhaps someone ran across them for the first time and decided to start hoarding them for fun and bought up all the cheap ones.

4. Someone decided to try driving up the price for profit.

5. Or was trying to price correct because they thought they were going for too little.

6. Could be someone working on a pet and decided they wanted a 100 waffles for their TC.

Whatever the reason, these things do happen regularly and the price generally corrects itself fairly quickly. I've encountered it many times with a wide variety of items and have never been able to answer the "why."
