I just beat the first stage of the Panzer Hydra enemy and got the achievement medal to unlock the next stage. However, when I try to use the 'unlock challenger' option on the medal, it says 'You can not unlock the Panzer Hydra outside of the Masquerade Holiday!'.

Is this a bug - it feels like I should be able to unlock them so I can fight them? The Panzer Hydra was only released on the 9th, shortly before Masq ended and the news post says that the 'Panzer Hydra will be available for you to battle until 11:59pm on June 18'.

not sure about a bug or not, but Id say file a ticket and ask..tbh Im surprised they were released this late this yr

I feel the 'available to battle' might just mean for tjose that had them unlocked already though(not sure though)

probably not a bug but just an oversight wrt how their whole unlocking thing works. ideally they'd be unlockable as long as they are active challengers even if that timeframe doesn't fully overlap with masquerade, especially since they were only just activated on the 9th.

Same bug here, can't unlock the 5 headed one even though they're "available" for several more days. Hoping it gets fixed so we don't have to wait a full year to try again.

i just got around to starting my hydra attempts for this year and found this issue too... it's kinda frustrating, i wish it had been mentioned at least if it was intentional

It would be nice if this was changed. I wasn't around for the event, so now I can't even progress past the first one. :(

It was probably an accident, neither bugged nor intentional. The challengers were released late this year, but typically they're available until the end of Masquerade so it's never been an issue before.

They'd either have to change the unlocking requirement temporarily so people don't try to unlock them during the rest of the year when they aren't active, restart the event for like a day or something, or have everyone wait until next Masquerade.

Not my wheelhouse, I only deal with my forums. I also can't test to see if it has been addressed because Permanent hasn't moved up in challengers yet. Usually you can ping the MM's of this forum as they can see if it has been reported. I don't see anything of the backend.
