It’s been years since I’ve participated in a Masq but I can’t remember exactly how to duel him? I thought it was a pop up once going to the dance floor with someone but I haven’t seen him yet. Just making sure I am remembering correctly….

And I vaguely remember it being basically like a game of Rock Paper Scissors Was this a different feature that I am thinking of?

you're remembering correctly. it would be a popup message box on the dance floor; he says he's cutting in, and you click a button to challenge him to a duel, which takes you to a rock-paper-scissors minigame where you choose between a rapier, dagger, and sword. rapier outreaches dagger, dagger outmaneuvers sword, sword breaks rapier. you play until one of you wins two rounds, and if you win, you get a bag of trinkets.

the announcement post said they increased the chances of encountering boudewijn, but i've been visiting the dance floor for every dance and have only encountered him twice, so i'm not sure if it's just bad luck on my part or if the odds are still very low.
