Sorry if this has been asked before/wrong board but Is there a way to see the profile of who left me flowers so I can send them some as well? I see the message in the events dashboard area but only their name and I'm not sure who so kindly sent me some!

if you know their username you can just paste it after "subeta.net/users/" to get to their profile

You can also paste their name into the flower code. I'll often use the Notepad on the dashboard for this, or make a forum post (just preview it, don't need to post it) to send back flowers. [flower=roseredbelle] to go directly to the flower page, or to go to their profile.

okay that makes sense! I just added that to my signature so I'm sort of figuring it out. It's a bit different than boards and forums I'm used to. Of course I'd pick the most wonderfully chaotic time to join (I'm still confused by the vesnali boards giveaway/raffle posts???).

For your first event, I would skip the giveaway/raffle posts. You can get nice stuff, but it can be very confusing. I've been onsite for years and have extra coins from previous years, so I don't mind joining a raffle where I might not win anything, but for a new user that would be a waste of flowers. I would stick with the "give x flowers to the user above" threads, because with those ones you should also get flowered back and build up your coins.

I have been! those give flowers to the person above has really helped me figure out some of the profile stuff (the dance with xx is still confusing). It is always a surprise to be trying a quest and suddenly my inventory is too full because someone sent flowers and I have coins and flowers. I was trying to figure out how to make some bouquets since they really are so so pretty but there are some flowers I find that don't go with one! Is that just part of the event? Someone shared a post that had an amazing link with a guide so I've been referencing that

yes, not all flowers are used in bouquets. the bouquet feature was only added a few years ago to have a little something extra to do with some of the flowers, and while a handful of bouquets have been added in subsequent years, they're not necessarily going to utilize every possible flower.

what do you mean you're confused about the dancing? that would take place during masquerade, which will be coming up in may. during that holiday, you can "dance" with other users by clicking their dance link (as long as you're both wearing some kind of mask on your HA), and people will set up "dance with the user above" threads.

That explains it! Thank you. I kept seeing in signatures "trick or treat" and "dance with" links and I figured it might be another past event like this one but I wasn't sure. Thank you so much!

yup, most of the holidays have links like that and function pretty similarly: users are supposed to perform interactions with each other, and this is usually made easier with "___ the user above" threads.

if you haven't already, you can see all the holiday & event link codes here. i like to keep any current holiday link in my signature and swap them out, but some people prefer to just put them all in there so they don't have to keep changing it.

oh my gosh, thank you! I was trying to piece together what were events and what were past major events that don't return. Trying to figure out the map pieces and what the blue building was vs. events with others was getting me mixed up but that's so clever to have them all saved. thank you for the tip!
