Sorry, if this is the wrong place. I wasn't sure about which category to post.

Accidentally I noticed, that on the very first round, my mod crystals on the Charged Tower Shield are not recognized. 2 Earth an 1 Magma Defense Marquise Crystal From the 2nd round onwards (also if this is the 1st time the Shield is used), they show up.

Edit: Other than BoNA and CritStrike I don't have a lot of mods. While attack crystals work, I tried another weapon with defence crystals. Those also are not used in the first move.

Not good, because I was relying on the block, it didn't happen and cost me my life.

I don't remember any mention, that defensive mods don't work on the first move?
