This is my first time back on the site in quite a while, went to update my avatar, and I don't have the base layer visible at all. Not sure if I missed something somewhere or if it's a bug and was just wondering if anyone could help.

yes, this is a known issue for some users returning from hiatus. if you file a ticket a staff member can reset your avatar for you.
