I went to look up how to obtain the Steamwork Pets to set up plans to get a Steamwork Tigrean. I googled it as I didn't know how, the only schematic on the market was 5mil, and I didn't want to pester the forums unless I really couldn't find it. The first result provided a link to the Schematic Shop, I was looking for a wiki, but figured that was where I needed to go.

I clicked it and apparently immediately purchased the item. As in one second I'm at google, the next click, I'm down a million sP with a schematic on the way. I'm not looking for a refund, I did want it, but it feels as if there should be a "confirm" prompt in the shops set up like this.

I'm likely a rare scenario and I don't know if any other places on the site function like this where link=instant purchase, but I'd appreciate the adjustment as it could easily be abused to trick people into clicking links that buy things they don't want.

Having purchased from the millionaire centre (which doesn't have a popup, but has a clear "buy" button), I've just dropped by the schematic shop to remind myself of how that looks, and clicking on a schematic gave me the popup

So either that's been added in since made this thread, or for some reason the popup didn't work yesterday?

- it's possible that the link that was provided to me bypassed that confirmation and skipped straight to the purchase itself. I'm not clear on how this stuff works, but it looks like the confirmation is on the original shop page that stops you from going to the transaction page. The actual purchase page that carries out the transaction exists on a different one-which was the one that was given to me.

Also an update, I actually ended up getting an Aeanoid Schematic instead of Tigrean (I could have sworn it told me Tigrean was what was ordered but I probably just didn't pay enough attention), so the link provided me with the wrong schematic. I'll just sell this one in my shop for a little less than the schematic shop price and buy the tigrean from the page it's supposed to now that I know where it is. ^^

yeah doing a google search for "subeta steamwork schematic" and checking the link for the first result, gives

which is the purchase link itself for the Aeanoid schematic (which doesn't have a popup) rather than the main page where you can pick which one you get (which does have the popup)

....I have no idea on how google picks pages to list on their search, so I don't know why that particular purchase link is there rather than the main page!

I don't really know if it even can be fixed with how the site is structured and I have no idea how google works either. I'm not a code wizard but I know things can get pretty complicated when you have a bunch of moving parts that can break other things! It could end up not being a very small change at all, which was why I noted that the case is niche and probably not worth any immediate attention.

This is unfortunate and I feel for you, but I don’t think it’s the site’s fault if you go directly to the purchase link.

Google honestly has pretty terrible choices when looking up Subeta-related content. I just googled “subeta polar ice fields” to test and didn’t get one direct link! I recommend asking questions in the forums if you need to instead, and thinking /very/ critically about the google results you get.

Agreed 100% with Skolletta. I mean, I get it, I swear I do, about feeling like you don't want to pester anyone with what you think is a dumb question. I have that feeling a LOT at work. And I also understand that, frequently, people tend to be really opinionated when they post, which makes them sound angrier and more judgemental than usual, especially to people who are hypersensitive to that sort of thing (again, me and the stupid f'n RSD)

But, in the future, making a quick post on the forums really is the best and quickest way to get an answer for something like your original problem (how to make a Steamwork pet). Subeta's not a bad site, but a lot of things on it aren't very intuitive. Most people who are active on the forums have been around a long time, know most of Subeta's little idiosyncrasies and such. There are no stupid questions here, and, I promise, most people on the forums are more than willing to help out. It is not a bother.

also, for the record, the site does have an FAQ (linked from the subeta > help page found in the navigation menu) that explains how to get all the different pet colors, among many other things.

Alright, I'll be sure to check out the forums a little sooner in the future. I don't know why but I didn't think to look in the FAQ, a bit dumb not to check in hindsight. I'm a bit of a dunce sometimes, sorry! :( Thank you all for being so nice about this!
