I have been unlocking all the easy tier secret opponents and I was following a couple guides but seem to be have trouble unlocking Esmerleda as a secret opponent. All the guides say to wear 8 wearables made before 2012 and then go to Subeatique but I did that, or at least I believed I had, and nothing happened. I even bought an invitation to see if that helped but still nothing. Any tips from people who have unlocked her?

That should be how you unlock it, although I don't think you can use any wearable from her shop as part of the 8. I would double check none of the 8 items are from her shop and that your actually wearing the items. If so....give it a little time in case theres a cache or something that would delay it registering.

I'd also go to challengers and double check you don't have it - sometimes people miss the notification when it triggers.

Yeah I don't know. She's definitely not in my challenger list. My only other thought is I'm not wearing 8 items made pre 2012

Be mindful that certain parts of the site are not working properly right now, so it's possible the unlocking of this challenger is affected by that.

I was unable to unlock this challenger earlier this month with some trouble, if your HA is broken (I noticed the Red Ball breaks them) it won't work in my experience. It took me about a day to get her, I actually used about 12 different items to be safe. I stacked all those cheapy amulets together to pad out the numbers. Other than that, I wish you luck!! c:
