If your pet has a job, did you pick it based on its pay, or did you get a job that fits the theme/story of your pet? I do a mix of both, depending on the pet.

My themed job pets: Jerrille (Full-Time Test Subject at Asmodeus Genetech Lab), Koraki (Candy Maker at Candy Shack), Maisie (Nacho Manager at Carnival Stand), Newn (Cupcake Warrior at The Bake Stop), Purrity (Expert Technician at Delphi Museum of Modern Art), and Sacar (Stylist at Clothing Rack)

I'm hoping once I get all my pets at a good combo of intelligence, level, strength, etc, I can get them all jobs to fit their theme, but I'm still working on that.

Almost entirely by theme, I think it looks neat by their stats when it clearly fits the theme of the pet :>

Theropod is a Building Blocks Display Destroyer, perfect for a toy dinosaur. Aloe is a Landscaper, which fits her conservation/plants/seasonal theme. Thorne is a Scuba Instructor, fitting for a sea dragon. Stole is a Seamless seamstress, as a little scarf maker (former scarf thief)

Supermassive will eventually become an Interstellar Traveler, as a black hole/star themed space dragon thing. Pedipalps would be sweet as a Web developer, ofc, but needs a bunch of stats to start there. Leif I'd like to be Head harvester, I get this is also a zombie pun since half baked is zombie run, but she's a harvest pet who likes food, so also fitting. Lucille will be a Minion trainer, since her theme is caring for creatures in many a terrarium - her TC is full of herps and bugs. Dalish will be a Head neela tamer, since neela resemble Halla from Dragon Age, and I feel it's a write of passage for Dalish elves to work with halla.

That leaves five pets I don't currently have ideas for, but I'll build up stats regardless, most likely.

[edit] Also, I love your choice of pets! I have a soft spot for experiments (esp chibi) and reptiles/dinos.

I'm trying to match their jobs to their stories/characters

but I'm also incredibly lazy training my pets outside of my battle squad (neglecting training those too actually oops) so most pets have no jobs cause they don't have enough to get it lmfao;;;

I tried to do based on the pet's character but at the end of the day I don't train my pets and don't really care to except for my one battler (who even then I forget about LMAO) so most of my pets don't have a job but those who do typically have something irrelevant and just based on how high they can go in a certain job.

though for Cyra specifically, I'm trying to get her to be a SAI agent because her original character did come from SAI so now that's just my personal goal for her haha
