It just occurred to me, that I could put some words into my shop - and it turned out, I had, anyway. Yet the shop doesn't display the note (any longer?)

If you have the "Show layouts in user shops and galleries" option unticked under Preferences, it will not show any plain text in the description either, even your own shop. It hides everything added to that text box basically.
