Yeah, that's why I have cats. I barely have the energy to care for myself, let alone a dog! But my cat is pretty lazy, so she matches me well.

I adopted a 6yo dog thinking he'd be more chill He has 2yo energy T_T Animals to care for do help you keep some kind of schedule to your life though <3
