Is there any rhyme or reason to the price that it offers you? Is there a strategy to get a good value when pulling items from there or is it random? I pretty much only use it for Major Drills but it'd be nice to know!

Hey there --

I don't know how much I'm allowed to reveal here. But:

  • Compare the mystery price of the items you buy to their usual shop price. You'll find there's often a relationship between these prices.
  • Join the ping group # mysterybox (I put an extra space in there so I wouldn't ping the group myself!) and/or visit their forum thread here.

    Each day, lets you know which shop is supplying the mystery box. If you click on the spoiler tab in the right-hand column, she'll often have some useful hints about what to look for.

  • If you use MistressMurder's hints, along with the price relationships you've deduced, you have a much better chance of getting a high-value item. There's still some randomness involved, but you can make the odds work in your favor.
