Sorry if this sound like a dumb question, but ive always wondered what it means when a person writes "claim" in a forum. Im talking about the forum games of "send something to the person above" if they already posted once, why posting twice to write claim? Is it necesary to receive the item? or would you just ignore that post and gift the person above who hasnt write that??

In those cases, to "claim" basically means you're calling dibs on the post above - announcing to everyone that said post belongs to you. It's just the default message here in Subeta for these kinds of threads. Like posting random emojis to bump a thread on Neopets, if you're familiar with that. And a user can participate as many times as they wish, that's the usual actually.

So, TLDR, unless the post explicitly says to ignore it you should never skip any user.

Ohhh so basically it would be something like

User 1: gift the person above u user 2: gift sent user 1: claim (as in i received that one gift from user 1) user 3: gift sent to user 1 user 1: claim (receiving the gift from user 3 this time)

right??

It's like this: User 1: starts thread User 2: posts "claim" and then sends a gift to User 1 User 3: posts and then sends a gift to User 2 User 4: posts and then sends a gift to User 3 (and so on)

If the same user posts after just one or two posts, is just a coincidence, just means they are claiming a lot. There's no need to confirm you got a gift or anything (specially because it's not even possible to know, after a tree is full). Also, what someone writes in the post isn't super relevant, that's just a personal preference -- like, some people are more enthusiastic and post "Merry Lumi everyone!! ❤✨" and some are more shy and just go with a classic "claim".

There's no need to rush into sending the gift - in some threads, claiming the post above yours quickly is not even possible, like the ones related to sketching something and the like - that's why the person has to first "reserve" a post to themselves and then, after knowing who their target is, send the gift.

Otherwise if you send the item first then post.... multiple people could gift the same person which isn't usually the intent of the game. Claiming it helps keep things moving smoothly!
