Hello everyone! My name's Kaelos (they/them) and I'm kinda sorta new to pet sites (though I have played some Flight Risings and just got into Dappervolk) but I moved on over here when I saw the insect and snail pets, so rightly my first pet will have to be a Zasaba (though I have no idea what to name it, I'm terrible at names).

Hi Kaelos! I'm Oliver (he/him)! I saw the snail and insect pets and got so excited when I got here! I also really like the reptile looking pets. Do you have any specific plans for your pets (battling, colors, oc stuff), or do you just like having them?

Off the top of my head right now I just really want to get a Riftborn Scootle (I love eldritch beings and snails) but for my Zasaba (finally came up for a name for them, they're called Tegmine) I'm still unsure what colour I'll want them to be. Perhaps Field, Marsh, or Glade since I want their character to have an affinity for nature, gardening, and stuff. I'm not too good or experienced at roleplaying though, so it'll take some time make some backstory for them. For now though, we're just vibing B)

Ooh! Those sound like lovely pets :D I love the glade color on all pets to be honest, I think it looks really neat and earthy. I also think it's super cute that Tegmine is going to be a natury gardening friend, that is going to look great!

I'm hoping so! I feeling that their personality will be a very chill forest/swamp pal so I think that the Glade colour will probably be perfect for them all things considered :)

Do you have a personality / character concept in mind for your Scootle? owo??

Not fully yet, though I may make them more space/astronomy inclined. I know that they're gonna be named after a star though (cuz I think all of my pets will). I still don't have a fleshed out character for Tegmine yet right now, but I have some ideas on what their personality's gonna be.

Love it!!! Space / Astronomy Rift Scootle! That sounds amazing! I think there's a star related job at the job agency, too! That might fit them well.

Also yeah Tegmine is the traditional name of the Zeta Cancri star system within the constellation of Cancer. Additionally, a Tegmen is a part of the wings of winged insects like grasshoppers, stickbugs, and such and such. I thought it was very fitting for bug :)

Yeye! I have trouble making names but eventually I find one that's perfect and with word play to boot B) (it takes a good amount of time though) Normally though when I need to name something and have no idea what to name it, I go with a star name from my huge 3-part handbook of celestial objects and pick one that's good (like in this case lol)

Woah! You've got a 3-part handbook of celestial objects? That's so cool! Do you do stargazing and stuff in addition to your cosmic studies? I've always wanted to try but the light pollution's pretty bad where I live.

Yeah I do some stargazing, haven't done it lately though! I used to live in the city so I get the light pollution but when I moved to a place with less pollution (it still kinda exist sadly) I got a lot more interested in it. The handbook(s) were a good score from a flea market close by B)

It's getting pretty cold at night, yeah, which is a shame cuz I get cold very easily :/ Sky's still pretty in the cold though on a clear night
