Currently it's at 10,000 sP, which I'm sure was reasonable when it was implemented, but there are currently 2,072 stickers (at least according to SubetaLodge). The fees for sticking all those stickers to you (2,072 x 10,000) is 20,720,000 sP. And that's on top of the prices of the individual stickers -- which SubetaLodge indicates as being well over 6 billion sP.

I understand the idea is that you stick stickers to other players, but some are hard to obtain and even if you do frequently exchange stickers with other users, we're still talking about a lot of sP going directly to Hustler. Also, some of us like doing this by ourselves, but that's not the point.

I'm not against paying something for the SSSS (lol), I just think 10,000 sP is a bit much in the grand scheme of things. Maybe 5,000 sP per sticker would be better? I'm not sure.

Self-sticking was implemented in 2015, and at the time (prior to the batch of new stickers that came out with the service) there were just over 1300 stickers already onsite. While there are quite a few more stickers at this point, it's also not like this was implemented when there were only a few dozen and has now grown way past being reasonable.

I wouldn't object to lowering the price, but I don't personally feel like it's too high either. Stickers are "supposed" to be stuck to/by other people so there's a fee attached to the convenience of being able to stick your own and I think that's fair. You can still go the old-fashioned route and use a sticker swapping thread for free ¯_ (ツ)_/¯

It should vary on rarity, maybe? Special being the most expensive and common being the least.

Not trying to pick a fight -- just curious. I do understand that the point is that it's meant to be a social thing, and like I said, I do agree that there should be some kind of fee for doing it yourself, I was simply throwing my thoughts out there! Sorry if I sound rude, it's not my intention.

10,000 sP per sticker isn't impossible or anything, either. But it does eventually add up.

I have zero idea just off the top of my head lol but I don't think so. What I do know is that "retired" items are very frequently brought back through various methods so even if a sticker is priced at, say, 50m or whatever it doesn't mean the only way you're going to get it is to pay another user 50m for it.

You definitely don't sound rude! c: Just as someone who uses the self-sticking (AND sticker removal) frequently, I don't find 10k unreasonable, especially if staff still wants to motivate people to add stickers socially and/or if it helps as an sP sink. But I definitely wouldn't complain if they lowered it since I'll use it either way lol

Cost of the stickers is cost of the stickers no matter if they're self stuck or done by another user. Hence, it should not be taken into account. And 20 mil is done in like 2 weeks questing pretty easily? (Or little more/less, I haven't quested in a while). In comparison to some other collections/achievements/activities around the site, 20 mil is actually pretty cheap already.

I never liked the forced interaction of the sticker album. But there is also no reason that I should expect to like every last thing on the site. Staff wanted that interaction and I think it was a pretty big concession on their part to introduce self-sticking in the first place. Making it a significant price means that people will continue to have an incentive to be interactive while still allowing us to stick the pricier, riskier stickers ourselves. Or if we really insist on doing it all ourselves, the price, while significant, isn't outrageous.

I wouldn't actually object to lowering the price, but I do think its a fair price as is. Site economy hasn't changed enough to be a justification on its own.

i don't necessarily think the price for self sticking should be lowered as i think it's a fair sp sink. but i don't understand why there's a price to remove stickers... you don't get to keep the sticker, after all. that is what has discouraged me from taking part in the sticker collection, as i've been stuck with a bunch of random stickers i don't want and don't want to keep paying to remove them. >_<
