Magic Egg ..?

So found Rictus and fought him 5 times and got a Magic Egg.

What does a Magic Egg do? I googled etc and nothing. It only lets me either feed it to or use on a pet. If I use it, what does it do? add stats?

is a demon

It can be used on a pet Tier 1 thru 3 and gives 1 point in all stats minus level and Intel. :) Or it can just be fed to a pet.
