I can't seem to find any specifics in the FAQ, nor from skimming the Announcements subforum.

From what I understand, the liked person will get a ping, but is there a limit to it? Any particular reward? I would like to host an avatar contest in the Morostide forums and let anyone vote through this feature, but I don't want to require voters to have to use up a finite resource if there's a limit. This feature got added when I was on hiatus, so I missed whenever it dropped. Thanks!

I've never gotten pinged when my post is liked -- Where did you read that at? Maybe I turned it off.

It just seems like a quiet way to agree with a post to me, I don't think there's a limit.

I know the heart for liking an HA has a limit of 25. I'm not sure if the liking a post has the same limitation or not. Also, agree with there is no ping. I've gotten post likes and never gotten a ping/event. Quoting a post will ping the OP, but not liking.

You can always test it yourself. Go to the TOT above threads or something else equally fast moving and like a bunch, counting and see if you hit an error after 25.

[edit] Oh...and liking does nothing. There are no achievements, no rewards of any kind. Just knowing that some people agree with you, or appreciate an information post you made, or whatever.

And tapping the heart is what does it, right? I don't see it increase the count. Is yours just not displayed, or is there a bit of a wait?

It does sometimes take a moment to turn pink, and if you try to click it again because you're not sure you hit it right, then it removes the like. Some times also Subeta itself mistakes a single click for a double click.

I noticed that neither liking posts nor avatars works on phone or older ipad (at least for me). Could it be that?

Does it work on any mobile, non-laptop device?

Huh, seems to be the case. Switching to Desktop Mode seems to make it work properly.
