I rarely use the forums but I need forum points real bad. I know there used to be certain forums that had a zero percent change of giving points. Is that still the case and if so, which ones?

Posting to group forums does NOT give forum points.

Beyond that, I've tried tracking but I can't be sure. Sometimes there are delays in getting the ping and its so rare to get a point that I just can't tell for sure where it came from. Places I know for sure give out points: Event forums Suggestions and ideas Feedback Games Achievements Chit chat Help and questions Human Avatars Subeta Pets

In my experience you should be looking at ~1 FP per 10 posts. Making threads doesn't count, only posting replies. I've gone up to 20-30 posts without getting points though, so its extremely variable.

Staff does change up the percentage chance of getting FPs from time to time - I think its ongoing based on how many points are in the system, but I'm not sure.

So it looks like the start of a pattern? I post in the games forum, so perhaps different forums have different return rates also.

that’s an awesome data set, thanks! Gives me a realistic expectation of points too. Looking at this, it’ll probably take 4-5 months to get all the points I need if I stay diligent about it

I've been getting the feeling that the points have become rarer, but didn't have any data to check against because I've just not been posting that much and a lot of my posts are in group forums (which don't give pts). And yes, its possible that different forums return different chances of FPs,

I'm pretty sure that you do not get points for posting in Welcomes & Introductions but I can't recall off the top of my head any other forums
