This is from a Chinese novel that I love but it's a huge spoiler so I will leave out the name of the novel and the characters haha.

The story takes place in ancient China. There is a teacher who is pristine, ethereal and righteous. He has a bad temper and a cold appearance but on the inside, he is actually very kind and caring. He has a few students, two of which I will call A and B.

One day, the teacher had to go into an unconscious state to heal and maintain one of his old wounds and student A had watched over him. Little did the teacher know that A had other plans. A was going to implant something into the teacher to make the teacher forget about positive emotions and memories and only know and remember negative emotions such as anger and hatred. A was going to use the teacher to slaughter tons of people to help him achieve his goal.

Unexpectedly, student B arrived to look for the teacher and saw what A was about to do. B found out what will happen if that thing was implanted but B cares for the teacher and didn't want the teacher to become evil so B took the implant in the teacher's place instead.

The left HA depicts the teacher as his normal self and the right HA depicts what would have happened to the teacher if B did not arrive in time that day.

I'm super excited to see so many interested in the event! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's ideas when we can finally play with the wardrobe again!

jenna and kenny's canoe tipped over in the lake after the water began to change to stormy, choppy, and strong. they tried to right it, looking around for help. absolutely alone, no one around. timed passed, down into the water. she realized something the deeper she went: she was calming down, everything was familiar. unbeknownst to her, she was destined to become the lady of the lake. her final actions would determine what kind of ghost she would become. the calmness she felt allowed so many thoughts to pass through her mind in an instant, leading to a rapid decision: help him. she gathered enough strength to push him upwards, allowing him to grab onto a piece of driftwood. if she had thought "damn them both, don't help him," that would've only damned her to become vengeful spirit who torments the lake with evil intentions -- while being tormented herself, by inner and outer demons. why had that decision entered her mind? fortunately she held onto good, and guided him towards the surface and his survival -- her true purpose as a keeper; to be guided by good, to help the lake remain safe and peaceful for all. the lake rarely had a stormy cloud again, when there were people around.
