sorry if someone has already posted about this, i looked around the subtopics but i may have missed something!

currently i'm having a problem where the site is working fine on my macbook, but i have constant 504 errors on my desktop. here is the relevant info:

  • macbook OS: big sur 11.4; desktop OS: latest version of windows 10
  • i use the same browser on both (firefox, fully updated)
  • both computers are connected to the same internet, although i use an ethernet cable for my desktop
  • i have tried at all hours of the night/day, and the desktop is consistently receiving 504 errors, even when i ensure the site is working on the macbook at the same time
  • i have restarted my desktop and cleared my cache/cookies to no avail
  • occasionally (unfortunately not sure exactly how often) i have noticed different error numbers on my desktop: 502 and 524, i believe
  • on the desktop, these issues persist no matter which page of the website i attempt to open

that's all the detail i can think of that may be relevant. based on everything, i can only assume it would have something to do with a mac vs windows issue, but not only does that sound kind of strange to me, i also don't know much about this stuff at all. thankfully i can still access the site on here, but it's been a bit frustrating to have to keep two computers in front of me to be able to participate in the festivities. thank you all for any help and suggestions!

[edit] oop, looks like it's working on my desktop now! yay! not sure if i'm allowed to lock this board, so if it needs to be locked can someone please do that for me? : )

I had the same. Wasn't able to reach subeta for two days, with various 5xx errors (504, 524). Seems fixed now.
