Any Subeta items that hold a special place for you due to the item itself or the description? <3
Just ran across Last Meal.
The night we lost our 18 yr old cat goes almost as the description for this item. I had gotten home about 1a from work. We had heated up some chicken soup for dinner. Stormy had been fightin' cancer for a while, and that night she fell at my feet in seizures as I went to leave the kitchen with my soup. We knew what it meant, and we had to say goodbye. <3 It's been over a year now, but that description brought it all roarin' back.
Sorry to hear about your cat :( It's tough losing any animal companion.
This is a tribute item to a former Subeta staff member, at the time she modded General Discussion and I modded Welcomes, and we had frequent interactions due to the overlap between our forums. I was fortunate enough to meet her before she passed, and she really was the sweetest soul. Every time I see it I'm reminded of the light she was, and am a little sad about losing her <3

Not really anything to do with the item itself, but it was the subject of the last interaction I had with a user here before they passed away nearly a year ago. I think we were basically just talking about how pretty it was shortly after it was released. So now I associate that item with this user.
Wow, a lot of these are so deep, and yours had me reaching for tissue. (I don't even know how to begin to find the words of comfort or sympathy, but thank you all for sharing your experiences with the community. < 3 ) I kind of had a similar tugging when I seen a split pea item (turned into a sweater wearable). I didn't think about the pot of split pea soup I just made two weeks ago, but rather my Shepherd's last meal of pea soup and turkey. (a mystery illness at the time, and we knew he didn't have much longer, so we were spoiling him with his favorites for days.)
I know there were a few items I've that had deep personal meaning for me already. Some dealing with identity, others with a dearly parted (as in went our own ways, not dead) former friend and every time i see the items they tug at my heart or stab at my chest.
Not a huge thing, but the first that came to mind when i read the thread title is I got [item2=Pure Orange Juice] from the Free Shop the other day. (yes I posted in the blog, but didn't say why there.) The reasons it lifted my spirits so much is I suffer from a plethora of food allergies, sensitivities, and intolerance. Makes life either quite painful, or boring. Including usually only being able to drink certain brands of bottles water. Well for the first time in nearly 15 years I found a soda that I could drink and was tasty... sadly they were only in our area commercially for about two years, but the company is now gone. (No fair! They were AMAZING!) And that very night in the free shop I was lamenting how bored I was and wanted something other than water to drink. And then that cute, sweet little orange popped up to remind me... Orange Juice! I can't have it often or for long, but YES... I'm totally going to have some soon. (And since I can't have it very often, I tend to forget about it.)

[Item=common rue]
Lost my cat in April, and still processing the grief. Her name was Rue, after the plant.
The description in particular reminds me of myself. Just randomly started crying while re-reading it.
In the same vein as pumpkins though it's a custom wear, the item was a custom wear that was created as a tribute to that staff member after her passing. The Dikdik was her favorite animal. She really was one of the nicest people in the world though I never personally met her in person and only knew her online since we were both mods.
