I have an OC I plan to add to my pets, however the name I want is taken. It's Hinode, which is sun rise in Japanese. (Anyone know if you can name a pet with Japanese characters?) The term for sunset is also taken. I'm having a hard time with this and need some recommendations. Halp! lol But this is the character I'll have an overlay for: It's an adoptable I won and I'm so excited to use him! Basically I'm trying to think of other ways I can name him without it looking too.. idk goofy I guess? Like maybe certain special characters are allowed that idk about? Idk lol Any recommendations help. I just want to stick with the Japanese theme! (FunFact: He goes with my HA :P)

Names on subeta aren't unique so, if you like the name Hinode, you can still name the adoptable that :)

yay, glad we could clear it up! :) yup, legacy names are basically just designating which pet had the unique copy of the name at the time of the system transfer to nonunique names
