I've had my account for 4ish years now? I loooooove the art and the avatar system. How do you keep it fresh when you visit the site, though? I find doing dailies, especially if im logging in a couple of times a week gets a little bit stale. Does anyone else have this problem?
Mine feel this way, after about five years. But also partially because mine goals have been met, zo it can get old. Mine not a battler, mine still unfamiliar on how to get strong pets.
Mine simply do what other veteran players do, take time off. Mine planning on taking the first half of '23 to try getting mine act IRL in shape.
Mine can't offer much else for what to do when things become routine, old obsolete models are a simple design.
Nothing. I've been here over 14 years and I like doing the same old quests and dailies every day. It's a nice bit of stability in my life, something I can rely on. I love site events and getting new stuff but I'm happy with the old stuff too. And I don't like it when they try to change up the annual holidays too much, like that year they didn't give us zombies for Survival...that wasn't "fresh", it sucked.
I guess the fact that my goal is basically to collect everything and get as many achievements as possible means I'm just never done here and I enjoy continuing to work towards that.
As for actual advice for players who are getting a little bored...I'd suggest setting more long-term goals for yourself, like training up a battle pet or working on collections. I know battling starts out slow and confusing but if you keep at it, it's exciting to watch your little baby battler grow and defeat harder challengers.
Yeah, you're not alone - been on and off the site for over 10 years. I haven't found that anything in particular helps with the repetition burnout aside from just ignoring the site until I have the urge to play again however many months later. It's not the most satisfactory strategy, since every time I come back, I have different goals from what I was pursuing when I left. The result is a thoroughly "unfinished" account, even after so much time.
I normally pick a collection or achievement and make a goal and work on that.
On the rare occasion I really want to actively play, I actually deposit all my money into my (save a humble sum for questing) and pretend I'm poor again.. so I have to do quests, play games, restock, etc. It's fun to see what you can come up with and how much you can make if you try.
Also -- I moved this over to General Discussion since it's related to Subeta. :)
I enjoy working on Achievements! They cover a large aspect of the sight, currently I'm working on reading more individual books to my main reader pet. I'm really low on quest points so I have to quest to earn points to read to him :3 Then I use the money to buy more other books e_e

I'm looking into legendary collecting- they were so cool when they were first added. But trying to get all the recycle points is killing me. I may just bite the bullet and see if someone's selling If it stops being fun

Subeta can and does get stale. I’m more keen on playing it if I’m involved in a community. Right now I’m in two forum groups that make things more fun.

I used to be super into Subeta and would play daily doing all the quests. Now it's more on and off for me. The only reason I get active is basically to get cool items from events and make OC's with my avatar. Currently, my IRL friends and I are working on a story using the OC's we've made which has been my main motivator to get on.
