I don’t draw very often and my art is super amateur looking, but I thought this would be a fun project. Besides, the pet I’m conceiving this for is kind of based around dated 2000s emo/deviantArt aesthetics in the first place ahaha

His name is Moreira and while he’s currently a chibi torrent, I don’t have a current idea set in stone for his colour/pattern arrangement aside from a focus on warm colours and integrating some black. Maybe his pet treasure could be used as an inspiration? This is my first time doing this so I’m really open to all suggestions 😄

I was also thinking of using the oooold torrent design as an inspiration for basic features, like the body proportions and the little anglerfish-esque light lure. I’m still going to try and add appropriate details to the fins and whatnot; I just thought it’d be fitting concept to work off of.

Any ideas for a character of his concept (going off of his lookup and whatnot) and general tips for drawing fish are greatly appreciated!

Looking through his TC made me think of a sad fish, and the saddest fish of all have to be those singing fish on a plaque.
