I am about 250 points from my stat cap. I have been here for over 5 years and training daily. What happens after I am done??? No more training????

That's right once you hit the stat cap you cannot earn anymore Strength, Defense, Health or Speed. You can still earn Intelligence Points and increase your AP and currently there is no CAP on that. You can also increase your level but there's really no point in that. So with a capped pet, if you use a tome - you will earn only Level and Intelligence and the others will gain 0.
You also stop earning experience points at cap, but most battlers leach a stat or two to stay under CAP so you can still earn experience points. This can help if you want to try to change your final build
How can you leach a point or two??? And please tell me what experience points are??? I know I sound dumb. If I am at the top, I should be able to defeat all opponents, but I can't. Can you recommend some better weapons?? Thanks for the response Judy

Experience points are gained when you defeat an opponent or through battle quests and can be spent in the Spend Exp menu
You can use leeches from the Battle Shop to remove stats
For weapon advice, it tends to depend on what opponents you struggle on but feel free to check out other topics in Set Advice
It's the Leeches items under the MEDIUM section of the battle shop: are straight forward.
The is health :))
I am so at a loss now that I cannot train. It is really all I did here and I loved it. Now I cannot battle or get experience. I never thought it would end. I guess I can work on upgrading my battle set. But I do find that confusing. And what advantage is there to loosing a stat with the leeches? Thanks for responding, Judy

You can still battle once you hit the cap, but you can't increase your stats past the cap or gain experience. If you stop increasing your stats before you hit the actual cap, you can still collect experience with the same pet. You wouldn't be able to use it, but if they ever raised the stat cap or if you wanted to change your pet's stats around, you could use it for that (for example, leech some points away from speed and put them into something else). You could also start training another battle pet if you wanted.
If you don't want to go for a very specific kind of stat build (or you don't need to remove a few points to get back under the stat cap and earn exp again) you wouldn't need to use the leeches
Let us know if there's a specific challenger your struggling to beat, the weapons your using + modifications, and the scrolls. We can try to help talk you through tweaking your set. Once you figure out how to choose what weapons to use - battling becomes WAY more enjoyable! It's a pretty confusing system to jump right into
My weapons: Intricate Energized Helmet Soma Tablets Volatile Energized Mecha Paintbrush Blades Swashbuckle Phoenix Quill Reviver of the Lion
Scrolls: Shriek of Despair 2 Gift of the Forj Psycho Smasher Lucky Morosbane Aftershock Cold Blast Feather Explosion
I can beat almost everyone except for some of the last two opponents in each section. Usually I can beat them 2/3 times
Thanks in advance if anyone has advice. Judy

For the tougher opponents, you'll want to see which icons they use the most and choose weapons to block those icons. I use 's Comprehensive Guide to search for the opponent's weapons. For example, Prodigy does a lot of water and fire icons, so it would be best to use weapons that block against water and fire. Your Swashbuckle blocks wind, so it's best to use that against opponents that deal a lot of wind damage. The Paintbrush Blades block a few different icons, but sometimes you need a specific icon block for certain opponents. I would suggest using the guide above for the opponents that are tough for you and finding a couple of constant weapons that block their damage icons. It gets quite expensive for those full blocker weapons (similar to Swashbuckle but different icons.) I would also add a Recycle Blaster to your default set.
As for scrolls, you only want one infinite use scroll equipped at a time, so don't equip both Aftershocks and Feather Explosion together, as that is an unnecessary use of AP. Just pick one (probably Aftershocks since it requires less AP). The freezing scrolls are great if freezing is not disabled. I suggest adding more freezing scrolls to your default scroll set when you are able. When freezing is disabled, I would consider adding more defensive scrolls to your scroll set like Cobalt Eternal, Sancturia Exodin and Spacial Abyss (depending on the opponent and their icons.) You could also choose to add more healing scrolls. I hope this helps!
Good luck and congrats on reaching the cap!
