I’ve posted a thread in the Advertising forums once a month for a number of months. The items typically sell within a day and I have the topic locked. When I come back the next month, I make a new one. But this time, last month’s topic still hasn’t fallen farther than halfway down the first page! I understand that I’m not supposed to create another when it’s still on the front page, but that one is still locked, which means I can’t sell. I’m sure there’s something I’m missing here, so would appreciate feedback from people who have encountered this issue.

You really need to submit a ticket for this. People can tell you what they've done, sure but that doesn't mean it would be okay, even if they "got away with it."

Maybe a feedback or suggestion thread could/needs to be created for this issue. A lot of those rules were set up when there was a lot more posting on threads. Also these issues affect other forums, not just the advertising one so something dealing with forums generally might be appropriate.

Alternatively, you can also ask a mini mod of the forum to unlock the thread for you so you can reuse the old one. Do you want me to do that?

But that’s the kind of feedback, I was curious about…I didn’t want to know if people had ignored or circumvented the rules, but how it might be done. So, I really appreciate you sharing that with me. Reaching out to a mini-mod or filing a ticket are great options should I find myself in a pickle in the future. Thank you!
