Hi there!
I think it would be beneficial to include in the description of collection items which month and year they are from. It could simply be at the end of the current description. For example:
Description: The perfect smoothie to enjoy on a warm summer ni -- wait a minute, what's in this? Rotten fruit and tree sap? What sort of summer reveler could enjoy this?! (July 2022)This could also potentially be added to holiday items. Ex. (Survival 2018)
Yes, this would be very useful, and it would save having to look them up on Subetalodge, which can be time-consuming.
People have been suggesting for ages that holiday shop items should bring up the year in the shop search so you know which tab to go to, if that's difficult to do then adding it to the description could work instead.
Yes, please! I think adding this info might encourage more people to buy monthly collections, too, since users who want specific collection items would be able to really easily see what month they're for. I know I certainly would, particularly with books.
Please do. Need some help with it? Do something like the battle item sorting where a range of dates are set up and people check the item to the month and year.
OR just ask for volunteers.
Yes please! The stickied guide is nearly a year behind and even if it was up to date, if I'm looking through my wishlist and have the item but not the collection, I still have to go digging for it in the guide.
All for this at the end of the description and the specialty shop and year.
I won't lie, my first reaction was just hysterical laughing. Just because of the sheer underhall this would be.
I'll discuss it with the team and see if there is something better we can do, like a line for hover that would work for any item we could edit/add in the information (or a way to insert it at end of desc but for a different field on back end. WHO KNOWS). I will say, if we do end up doing this, we would likely roll this out slowly. Section by section, say collections first then by holiday or something. If we waited until every item (for special shops, collections, etc) were done then ... lol we all know the odds of that being done.
I know Amber already replied to this but I'd just like to come and add my overwhelming support and puppy eyes because I have wanted this for years. Collection items and specialty holiday shop years!
idk this seems like a lot of work for not much payoff, when you can just look it up on SubetaLodge. I understand it would be nice to have the information onsite but this just isn't crucial information.
I've also seen staff say in the past that the more information that the hovers contain, the slower the site gets, so there's that to consider.
