As far as I know there are no current plans for the minion zoo. It was never fully flushed out to begin with, just an experiment that never went anywhere. I think if they decide to work on it in the future they may end up starting from scratch.

There have been suggestions to make it less clunky to remove minions and some suggestions for expanding/improving the general experience, but nothing really memorable or striking.

How can I remove duplicate minions from my zoo?

go into the zoo, then under every minion is a link "remove from zoo," click that. Problem is you get an "are you sure popup" and after you say yes, it removes the minion then goes back to page 1. So its a real hassle to remove them.

To subvert this process, I open the link into another tab. The new tab still reloads the zoo on page one, but you can go back to the tab you were working on and it will still be on whatever page you were working on.

yeah, the account search things works well if you're trying to remove a single instance, or two, of duplicates, not so much if you have a larger list you're trying to pare down. I often use the account search if I want to remove one for a gift or quest.
