It seems like every time I come back to Subeta after being gone for an hour or so, I get "robot" checked. Multiple times a day! How many times do I need to prove I'm not a robot? I just hate those stupid tests clicking the dumb pictures. Is anyone else getting robot checked often?

I...don't think I've ever been robot checked literally ever on subeta (except for like 12 years ago when you had to do that to buy from shops OTL)? Are you seeing this on the log-in screen?

I know there's a check with editing code (rightly so) but... no?

What browser are you using? Is this on mobile or a computer?

To answer questions, I am using Firefox on a desktop and it's on any screen where I come back. Just now, I came back to check Subeta and I got robot checked again. This time I clicked the "are you human" box and I did not have to pick all the boats/trucks/buses. I will try to remember to take a screen shot next time!

The only place I remember even getting a Captcha is when editing pet profiles. Have you been doing that lately by chance? Do you happen to have any custom CSS? If so, you might want to try and temporarily clear it and see if you get the errors again. Browser add-ons? Same thing - disable temporarily and see if it makes a difference.

I'm going to move this over to the Bug forum ~ It's odd that it's coming up so frequently for you, but no one else has reported it. :(

- I used to edit profiles and things, but it's been years since I did it. I have not done anything new on Subeta or on my firefox for months, but this is a recent issue for me. I think it probably started when Subeta had all those issues with servers and such recently. The only custom CSS I have is for the floating items, and I've also had that ever since it became a thing on Subeta. So far today I have not had the captcha screen pop up, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time...lol.

EDIT: 7/12/22 I am pleased to say that I have not been robot checked for an entire day...let's hope it holds out!

EDIT 7/12/22 @ 2:58 subeta time I was robot checked, again. Sigh. Then I was checked again about 1 minute later, and it took over a minute for it to decide I was not a robot. This is honestly really frustrating.

Update: I am still getting robot checked at least once a day. Anyone else?

7/16/22 @ 1:16am robot checked again. That screen is still actually checking me, I had to refresh and open a new browser while it thought about life.

this is now happening to me trying to edit leare's profile

i cannot complete these awful fucking captchas so until this is fixed i cannot update pet profiles

Unbeknownst to me, I must be a robot because I keep failing these tasks.

I've started getting these tests randomly too. I used to only get them very rarely when doing profiles, but yesterday I triggered one while in the wardrobe. The wardrobe stopped working, and I thought maybe the site was down, so I went to another page and found the "test" - once I eventually passed it, the wardrobe started working again.

update: this actually Only happens when editing leare's profile. other pets are fine.

i copypasted leare's profile into another pet and hit the captcha.

so something in leare's profile is bumping up against cloudflare when it shouldn't be.

i thought it would be the single import rule (a google font), but that alone dumped into another profile actually doesn't bump into the cloudflare wall.

end result is i Still can't edit leare's profile until this is fixed.

guess i'll check back in in a month?

I haven't actually been tested as a robot since I last updated my post...so either they fixed my issue or something. Hopefully they figure it out for everyone!

I've been getting a slightly different one now:

Where I just click to say I'm human, no longer hunting for boats, traffic lights, etc.

I got one the other day trying to log in but I refreshed the page a couple times and it skipped it.

It just showed up again just now when I was trying to send a smail and I don't have any idea if the smail was sent.

I loathe these things but the picture ones are the most annoying to me since you have to do multiple pages of them.

EDIT 9/20 Free shop just asked if I was human again when I tried to buy. With an event that is as time sensitive as the free shop and Freyalise getting held up buy this is the difference between maybe getting something and probably getting nothing.

Still really hate these bot checks though. If verifying my humanity is really that important on the free shop page why not work it into the coding to make the purchase you have to type your password or something. It is a 5 min wait for your next purchase no matter what but missing out entirely because the item isn't reserved while you prove your humanity or worse you miss everything in the shop is extremely annoying/upsetting.

It seems like the key to the problem is sitting idle logged into Subeta. This is more likely to happen during an event like Keel Haul and Free Shop specifically on those pages where being slowed down by a bot check is the difference between something and nothing.

EDIT 9/27 Ok so my last assumption can't be right because I just started my computer just went to Subeta to log in, because I don't stay logged in continually, and it tried to ask me if I was human before it even took me to the login page. Then it refreshed itself or something without me doing anything and went to the page like normal. Perhaps this has to do with my settings being set to not save most everything I've turned off almost every history setting I can find.

Secondly, how often do we need to prove we aren't robots? If I wasn't one yesterday, am I really going to be one today? Or in the next hour? It's crazy. They should come up with a way to verify an account like once a week, if they need it that badly.

I could maybe understand once a day but even that is incredibly annoying. I don't know about anyone else but I keep my settings very private with no history. If there is a setting where I can tell it to not save history I tell it to not save history.

Could part of the problem be a cookie or something we aren't saving that is making us look like bots? My sisters don't care about their computer security like I do and they have never had this bot check pop up.

I've been getting bot checked before I can even log in why? None of this started for me until after the move to the new login. While better security is good it can't do any good if the site is so secure I can't even access it. Not sure how to balance this and I hope someone can find a solution.

Have we had a floating item event since we moved to the new login? Does the new login even have anything to do with this problem? If this interferes and we get bot checked trying to pick up floating items do we still get the item?
