So as someone who's account is old enough to get a driver's license, I ostensibly should be someone who has a loose grip on Subeta lore lmfao. BUT I've played somewhat inconsistently over the years and paid more attention to HAs for some time than anything like my pets.

These days though, I want to finish my pets. I LOVE Subetapedia and I've been scouring it for inspiration but I'm having trouble parsing everything the way it's organized right now. Like Subeta CLEARLY has a historic timeline, there are references to it ALL OVER Subetapedia.

So is there a lore compendium in the forums or anything? Or like, has anyone put together a timeline of Subetan historical events based on what lore we have so far???

And Idk about this bit because I haven't hung out in the forums for a few years now-- but do Keith/Staff ever answer questions about characters/Lore/events in the forums that could also be compiled into canon? It looks like we still can't search the forums which would definitely make that tricky, but I'm just wondering cus that's definitely a thing in some other games I play :V But theres other places with bits of lore too, like the art museum!! It'd be neat to tie all that stuff together in one spot.

This is actually something I'd be interested in delving into myself if someone hasn't already. :-) It may seem redundant, but Subetapedia is something that I would assume is not meant to be a timeline, or a storybook... it's an encyclopedia. However, I am terribly curious about what order all those entries happened in now :)

Subeta's Lore is kind of all over the place. Some has been retconned.

Long ago, in the way before times, Subeta started out with King Keith and his staff inserting themselves into the worlds of Subeta and Atebus. That lasted just long enough to start the ball rolling. There used to be a lot of "Keith items" which have been changed over the years to become other things. Some echoes remain (like the book ). But you can no longer put together an accounting of those early days.

Much of the lore came from little snippets found in item descriptions. Other lore descended through plots. You can find some text and descriptions of old plots at SubetaLodge, but its not complete by any means.

I think the Councilors Cruise was an attempt to clean up the lore, reset the timeline and better explain "Subeta" - you can read about it at the Subeta Wiki.

For more pet specific lore, I recommend searching the item directory, or SubetaLodge, for pet items of the type you're interested in and read the descriptions.

There's lore, but there's no lore book. Plus, a lot of the attempt to be culturally diverse, a lot of lore are just, bad stereotype.

I think I remember when the whole King Keith thing was at the point he was abdicating the throne and let Chancellor Sebastian Phoenix becomes the new head of the state and change Subeta's government forever. And Saggitarius is still in the new government and doesn't do the best job at it. I think. I don't remember what was the in-universe reason for this. Was it something about failing to stop Kelvin Blackmoon?

And the whole Shiwa's story. Her banishment and imprisonment begins when King Keith was still the King, but that means she is here after Subeta has established modern society, yet she is still worshipped as a Goddess. Malaria was also imprisoned the same time.

Their storyline will lead to the birth of Mori and Nori, and it is not clear how strong Mori/Nori is or how significant she will play the role in the lore if she broke away from her stalemate, but as far as I know, she is pretty dang powerful.

Shiwa also has tie in Merana's lore.

And the recent update reveal that Saherimos used to be ruled by a Princess/Queen Korra who just come back with very powerful mind control magic and try to reclaim her place as "the rightful ruler" of all Saherimos after Shiwa kicked her out. But considering Saherimos is populated with different tribes forming small societies instead of one kingdom, it is more likely she is another Merana.

Yeah, none of that make sense.
