What are the Stars above User avatars in the forums?

This may be a silly thing to ask, but what are the stars above avatars in the forums, and how does one obtain more of them? I only have one, for example. I’ve been playing 15+ years and don’t know what it all means. :’)

each star stands for 750 posts created by the user, and it goes up to 6 stars at most.
So I have 3 stars so I have made at least 2250 posts but less than 3000 posts.
You have one star so you made at least 750 posts but less than 1500 posts.
