Had a look through the first few pages and couldn't see this, sorry if it's been suggested before!

I'd LOVE a 'set alert' reminder about watering plants/seeds - I set alerts for pretty much everything (zapper, ruffie raffle, minion bonding etc), and although I do often click the 'Dailies' page link, I'd really appreciate an alert to remind me/let me know it's time to water my plants/seeds again! It's one of those dailies that I often forget about simply because I'm a returning player who's only discovered the seeds/plants aspects within the last few weeks. Although I'll inevitably get into the habit of clicking into my garden every day as it becomes a habit alongside other dailies (eg questing), I'd really appreciate a reminder to do so!

Plz plz plzzzz I have massive object permanence/memory issues and I literally forget that some features of the site exist, like gardens. I’ve tried to plant seeds before and only succeeded like once or twice, cuz I base a lot of my action on here off muscle memory or alerts!

Always full support for this whenever it comes up.

The Garden is every 24 hours...not once a day. This makes it all the more critical to have an alert. When planting things, I've often done my dailies, including the garden, but then it says I can't water for an hour, or 2 so I go off and do other things and then forget because I've already done my dailies.

I'd love that, I've only succeeded a few times with seeing the growing process through. I'm close friends now with the "oops, it seems your plant wasn't watered enough and dried up" message lol

We've been wanting this for ages, but I have a feeling it hasn't been added yet because of the garden revamp which is still on hold while we wait for the Teahouse unless the staff decide to do the garden revamp first anyway, or just make alerts available to tide us over until then. The lack of alerts is the only thing stopping me from using the gardens.

Oh yeah, I've given up gardening on here for that reason,. No point in planting the seeds if I'm going to forget about them anyway :'(

I also support this but wanted to add my strategy for it - I have it linked in my "dailies" notepad module next to a link to the rotating minions, which I also have an alert for. I try to check them both at the same time. That is the only way I've managed to stop killing my plants here lol. Just in case it helps anyone else in the meantime!

while we should still be able to set an alert, i would like to firmly suggest that watering plants just be made once a day like other dailies. the 24 hours counter is silly.

This has been requested before and been shot down every time because "it's part of the challenge!" or something like that.

First of all, what challenge? It's literally clicking a button or two. Second of all, based on that response, I wonder: has there never been a person on staff with ADHD? I have trouble remembering my own damn phone number, despite the fact that I've looked it up no telling how many times over the past few years. My brain, for whatever reason, simply will not hold on to it. I have to set reminders on my phone for simple things like remembering to pick up dinner on the way home, or to take my work badge with me if I'm going to another location the next day. Otherwise, there's an excellent chance I'll forget.

And y'all expect this same brain to remember, on its own, amid everything else that's going on in my life, to come back exactly 24 hours after planting a seed to water it?

Nuh-uh. Ain't happening.

If a reminder isn't feasible for some reason, I also like the idea of just making it once daily. At least that would make it more flexible and easier to do alongside the other dailies.

Yes, I feel like the options are to either keep it at 24 hours but include an alert like bonding with one of Dara's minions has, or if you want it to be challenging but still fair, change it to once a day without an alert, like the bathhouse.

An alert sounds like a nice idea to me, but then I know nothin' of how hard it is to set up, or their reasons for not havin' one yet. 😊

I can certainly get behind this suggestion. I don't do the gardens anymore because I forget about the seeds I plant there more often than not. Having an alert to remind me about it would definitely be much appreciated. :)

I hope adding an alert isn't being counted as a garden revamp. As people have pointed out, watering being every 24 hours makes the garden horribly difficult to use. The best suggestion is making it once a day no matter what time of day we plant a seed.
