The profile is MySpace themed to go with Prism's general "early 2000's in the 2020's" theme. I was barely a conscious human being when "the old Internet" was just the internet, and yet i've always felt fascinated and drawn to it and other general trends from the time.

The profile is completely comprised of spaghetti code that is confusing and weird even to me, and half of the time I worked on the profile I had 0 clue what I was doing, but I'm honestly so proud of myself. It came out exactly how I envisioned it and that's just all I wanted.

i do have to point out, though, that the contents are misaligned from the background, because you used auto margins to center and absolute positioning on everything else – meaning the white background moves to stay centered as the page changes size, but the contents of the page do not.

let me know if you want any help fixing this. it's a tricky one! i can think of a few options, but they all have drawbacks, and my coding knowledge isn't SUPER robust so i'm not sure i could figure out the optimal way to achieve the desired outcome.

augh youre totally right! i hadnt even bothered to look at the page with a different screen size, looking at it now on mobile its so misaligned it hurts.

the first thing i did was center and give it the white background and by hour 5 of positioning everything pixel by pixel i had absolutely forgotten about it LOL. I'd absolutely love to know your thoughts about how i could fix it!

the first solution that pops to mind, though not an especially elegant one, is to reposition everything using relative positioning. however because of the way pet profiles are intrinsically structured, this is going to be very fiddly and would need to be adjusted if you ever wanted to change any of the custom elements (including the description and credits) or add more tc items. you'd also probably need to restructure some aspects of your code. you can see an example of this method here. (i'm happy to share that code with you if you want, but as i said it's very fiddly and would require constant repositioning if anything changes.)

another option is to hide the real profile elements altogether and code "fake" versions of everything, allowing you more freedom of placement. i did something like that on this profile, which even allowed me to use flexbox, making the page fully responsive. of course, this also has its downsides, as you'd have to manually update things like the friends, stats, and treasure chest if those ever change. i could also try mocking up a version of your profile using that method, if you'd like.

other possibilities i can think of are essentially the same as the first method, like using the right column as a starting point and scooting things out of it to the left, and then using margins to scoot everything back to the center, but i think it would still have all the same complications. if there's a better way, i am unfortunately not knowledgeable enough to think of it. sorry i can't be of more help; subeta profiles can be really tricky, especially if you're trying to make them responsive AND multi-column AND have custom elements "outside" the designated description area.

Man that profile brings back some nostalgia. I've had some thoughts rolling around of either making a pet with a MySpace theme or make my user profile that. This gives me a bit more inspiration for that. :) Also SpaceHey looks kinda cool lol
